Frequently Asked Questions

Oncourse Home Solutions (OHS) is a leading provider in home protection, serving nearly 2 million homeowners nationwide.  Our programs are designed to help protect against the high-cost hassles of unexpected home repairs by connecting customers with vetted local professionals and managing the repair process on their behalf.

Oncourse Home Solutions’ optional protection plans are administered by American Water Resources, LLC. You may see the American Water Resource name in certain communications – both brands work together as one team to deliver reliable coverage and dependable service.

A water service line is the pipe that delivers water from the utility main in the street to your home. Homeowners are often responsible for the portion of the water line that runs from their property line to their home. A sewer service line is the pipe that carries wastewater from your home to the utility main in the street. Homeowners are often responsible for the portion of the sewer line that runs from their home to the utility main. Your responsibilities may vary. If you live in a dwelling like a condominium, contact your homeowners association to determine your responsibilities.

This optional protection covers repairs to the water line for leaks or breaks, and to the sewer line for clogs and blockages. Covered repairs will be made by local, insured independent plumbing contractors. Protection does not include a septic tank or the components thereof and other exclusions apply, see Terms and Conditions for details.

Select the plan and follow the simple enrollment form, or you can call us at 833-367-9825.

You can sign up and pay monthly or annually with convenient options like a checking or bank account (ACH), or a credit card (VISA or MasterCard). ACH is our preferred payment method, as it provides the most reliable way to maintain continuous coverage by reducing the possibility of payment failures.

Your enrollment begins the day Oncourse processes your enrollment, which is the enrollment date on your welcome letter. Your protection and ability to make a claim begin 30 days after the enrollment date. The first year of coverage includes a 30-day waiting period and 11 months of coverage.

The Water Line Protection Program covers up to $12,500 per occurrence for one of our independent contractors to repair leaks or breaks to your outside water line caused by normal wear and usage, and to refill, rake and reseed areas outside your home that were excavated to access your water line. If a necessary permit requires a public sidewalk or road to be opened to access your water line, we will pay a separate limit of up to $12,500 per occurrence to cut, excavate and repair the same section of public sidewalk or road.

The Sewer Line Protection Program covers up to $12,500 per occurrence for one of our independent contractors to repair a clog or blockage in your outside sewer line caused by normal wear and usage, and to refill, rake and reseed areas outside your home that were excavated to access your sewer line. If a necessary permit requires a public sidewalk or road to be opened to access your sewer line, we will pay a separate limit of up to $12,500 per occurrence to cut, excavate and repair the same section of public sidewalk or road.  There are no service fees.

Coverage begins 30 days after your enrollment date and does not cover pre-existing conditions.

If your home becomes uninhabitable due to a covered issue, the plan also includes up to $1,500 for reasonable hotel accommodations and up to $500 for boarding of house pets if authorized in advance.

When you have a covered problem, call us at 833-367-9825, or submit a service claim online; do NOT call your own plumbing contractor. Oncourse Home Solutions is available by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to take your call.

If you cancel your protection within the first 30 days after your new program enrollment was processed, you will be entitled to a full refund of all program fees you have paid. This refund will be issued within 30 days of cancellation.

For all other customers:

If you are paying monthly for your protection, your program cancellation will take effect at the end of your monthly billing cycle and you will not receive money back. Protection under your contract will continue through the end of your monthly billing cycle, regardless of when you cancel within the cycle.

If you are paying annually for your protection, your program cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing month within your annual term, and you will receive a refund for the remainder of your annual term. Your refund will be credited to the same payment method you used to make your annual payment.

After your protection cancellation request is processed, the cancellation will take effect at the end of your current monthly Oncourse Home Solutions billing cycle. Until that date, your protection will remain active and you will be eligible to make a claim if needed.

If you decide you no longer want to maintain your protection with us, you can cancel by phone. Call us at 833-367-9825 any time, day or night, and select the option to cancel your protection. When you are connected to one of our agents, tell them that you wish to cancel your protection. The agent will ask you some questions to verify your account information and will be able to assist you with the cancellation.
