Leave immediately if you smell gas in your home. Do not operate anything that could cause a spark — including lights, cell phones, flashlights and appliances. Get to a safe location outside your home and then call 911 and your local gas utility. Wait for a crew to check on the source of the odor and make the area safe before returning.
Yes. Preferred Complete Line Protection includes an annual inspection of your home’s exposed interior natural gas lines, shutoff valves and appliance connectors, including the connections at your heating system. Any leaking connectors found will be replaced. Inspection appointments are upon your request and subject to schedule availability.
Standard homeowners’ insurance policies typically do not cover the repairs available under this plan. Review your homeowners' insurance policy for additional information.
Yes, electric lines in both attached and detached garages are covered.
Repairs will be completed by experienced, independent service providers in your area. They conduct business in a professional, prompt and efficient manner.
No. Wells are not covered, but the line running between the house and the well will be.
Repairs needed for water faucets and other fixtures are not covered by this plan.
Yes. The plan covers repair of leaks or breaks to exposed, interior water supply lines/pipes and valves, as well as to exposed, interior drain lines/pipes. Repair of shut off valves leading to fixtures or appliances is also covered. Note: Preexisting conditions are not covered.
No. There is no minimum or maximum sewer line length required for enrollment in this plan.
Yes. Customers must have a sewer line access point installed. This is sometimes referred to as a “clean-out” point. Many newer homes will have an access point installed already.
Yes — in order to enroll in Preferred Complete Line Protection, you must be a homeowner. Rental properties are not covered with this combined plan. This home utilities warranty plan covers single-family homes only and doesn’t cover attached homes such as condominiums, duplexes or townhomes.
Blockages to sink, toilet, tub and shower drain lines are covered. Blockages from the floor drain or below the foundation are not covered.
Septic fields and tanks are not covered. However, lines to the septic tank or field will be covered.
No. Sewer line shearing at the foundation is not covered.
Yes. Clogs in sewer lines caused by tree roots are covered.
